About Firm
A defense firm organized around the matters institutions cannot afford to mishandle.
Agajanian, McFall, Weiss, Tetreault & Heider LLP is a Los Angeles litigation firm representing hospitals, health systems, physicians, insurers, venues, organizers, manufacturers, and public entities in California.
The firm practices on one side of these disputes. That focus shapes how matters are staffed, how the record is built, and how the firm communicates with insurers, risk managers, and in-house counsel throughout a case.
Work is divided between two groups. The Medical Malpractice Group defends healthcare organizations and licensed professionals in professional liability litigation. The General Liability Group handles premises, products, transportation, public entity, employment-adjacent, and sports and motorsports matters, including the risk documents and event structures those organizations depend on.
Many engagements begin before litigation, during investigation, when the factual record is still being formed and decisions about preservation, interviews, and reporting have lasting consequences. The firm treats that period as part of the defense, not as a preamble to it.
Matters are prepared on the assumption they may be tried. That posture disciplines discovery, expert selection, and case evaluation, and it gives clients an honest read on exposure rather than an optimistic one.
How the firm works
Investigation first
Preservation, interviews, and documentation are handled while memories and records are still intact, in coordination with risk and claims.
Substance over volume
Discovery is aimed at the issues that decide the case. Motion practice is used where it narrows exposure, not to generate activity.
Straight evaluation
Clients receive candid assessments of liability, damages, and trial risk, with reporting formatted for the carriers and boards that need it.
