Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by the firm. It is drafted for review and must be confirmed by the firm's California counsel before it is treated as final.
This Privacy Policy describes how Agajanian, McFall, Weiss, Tetreault & Heider LLP ("the firm", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information in connection with AgajanianLaw.com and the forms available on it. It does not govern information the firm holds as counsel in a client engagement, which is subject to professional obligations of confidentiality and any applicable engagement agreement.
Information collected
- Information you submit. Name, email address, telephone number, organization, role, jurisdiction, party names supplied for conflict screening, position of interest, and the narrative text you enter in a form field.
- Technical information. IP address, browser and device characteristics, referring pages, and interactions with the site, collected automatically by the hosting and infrastructure providers that operate the site.
- Applicant information. Information submitted through the careers form, described further in the Applicant Privacy Notice.
How information is used
- Running conflict checks and determining whether the firm can review a matter
- Responding to inquiries and routing them to the appropriate practice group
- Evaluating applications for employment
- Operating, securing, and improving the website
- Meeting legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
Information submitted before an engagement
Information submitted through the forms on this site before the firm has confirmed an engagement is not treated as confidential and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Do not send privileged material, medical records, or protected health information through these forms. The firm will identify a secure method if and when it confirms it can review your matter.
Disclosure
The firm does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed to service providers that host the site, store submissions, and deliver email on the firm's behalf, and to others where required by law, court order, or professional obligation, or with your direction.
Retention
Submissions are retained for as long as needed for conflict records, professional obligations, and legitimate business purposes, and then deleted or archived in accordance with the firm's records practices.
Security
The firm uses administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through this site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the firm cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent over the internet.
California privacy rights
California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. See the Notice at Collection and Privacy Choices pages for categories collected and how to submit a request.
Children
This site is directed to businesses and professionals and is not intended for children under 16. The firm does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
The firm may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
